People

The faculty of all three departments featured in Social Relations are distinguished in both teaching and research, and have received a wide variety of awards and fellowships. Three faculty members of the Sociology Department have been honored with the Faculty Research Lectureship, the highest academic honor given to a faculty member in the University of California; another Sociology faculty member received the Distinguished Teaching Award, the highest honor given to a faculty member for undergraduate teaching and fostering undergraduate achievement. Anthropology Department faculty members have received teaching awards from the Honors Program and the National Association of Student Anthropologists.
